1935 Packard 1207
Flashback to one of our 2016 participants

In 1935, the Packard Motor Car Company was one of the finest builders of luxury motor cars, as evidenced by this Coupe Roadster driven by a 473-cubic-inch 175-horsepower V12 engine. While Packard had brought much of its coachbuilding in-house by 1935, they continued to license the famous Dietrich name, and applied it to their most discerning coachwork. This coupe roadster is one of the cars privileged to wear that name, is one of only six such V12 cars remaining, and is the only known example to have a rear-mounted spare tire and trunk. This vehicle is fully restored to original specifications and is in 100-point condition. This particular car was delivered new to the Packard Ontario Motor Car Company of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its first owner was Marland Woolnough, founder of National Grocers in Canada. The next owner, Ross Fisk, was an orthodontist, and one owner, Frank Doener from Kitchener, Ontario, kept the car for nearly 35 years. The complete ownership history from new is known and documented.
